CRDB Bank Plc has secured a landmark $500 million financing deal with a consortium of American investors, a move set to significantly boost the bank's lending capacity to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across East Africa. The agreement was signed yesterday in Washington D.C., attended by high-ranking officials from both nations.
The funds are earmarked for key sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, and technology. "This partnership is a testament to the confidence international investors have in the Tanzanian economy," said CRDB CEO Abdulmajid Nsekela.
